Abstract

The exploration of Islamic philosophy plays an important role in the development of science, both in historical contexts and its contributions to the progress of modern science. Islamic philosophy emerged as a result of the interaction between Greek, Persian, and Indian thought, which was then reinterpreted by Muslim philosophers such as Al-Farabi, Ibn Sina, Al-Ghazali, and Ibn Rushd. They successfully integrated knowledge with metaphysical and theological thinking into a coherent system, leading to significant scientific achievements. Concepts such as logic, ethics, and epistemology developed by these philosophers influenced various fields of study, including astronomy, mathematics, medicine, and physics. Moreover, Islamic philosophy also developed theories about the relationship between revelation and reason, as well as the nature of the universe, contributing to the scientific worldview in Western civilization. In this context, Islamic philosophy not only served as a tool to understand human existence but also acted as an important driver of scientific advancement. Its influence is still evident in the progress of modern science and technology, which requires a deeper understanding of the relationship between religion, reason, and knowledge. Therefore, further exploration of Islamic philosophical thought can provide valuable insights for the development of knowledge in the future.
