Optimalisasi Pendampingan Program Tahfizhul Qur’an untuk Meningkatkan Semangat Hafalan Di SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Surakarta

The Qur’an memorization program at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Surakarta is an essential effort to shape students’ character and spirituality through structured Qur’an memorization. This study aims to understand the mentoring process, challenges faced, strategies applied, and its impact on students’ motivation and memorization quality. A qualitative approach was used, employing in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis. The subjects include mentors, students, school administrators, and parents as supporting sources. The results show that mentoring is conducted flexibly and innovatively, such as dividing students based on ability and implementing a tahfiz rotation program, which effectively boosts motivation and achievement of memorization targets. Main challenges include differences in ability and time management, but the strategies used successfully address these issues. The study recommends developing more systematic motivation and evaluation methods, as well as utilizing technology to support the memorization process. Overall, optimal mentoring positively influences students’ enthusiasm and success in Qur’an memorization.
