Abstract

Islamic education is currently faced with the challenge of adapting to technological advancements, particularly in the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This study aims to explore the role of AI in innovating Islamic education and to identify the opportunities and challenges encountered. The method employed is a qualitative approach through literature analysis and case studies. The findings indicate that the implementation of AI can enhance students' understanding of Islamic teachings through interactive learning, although challenges such as ethical issues and a lack of educator understanding persist. The conclusion emphasizes that the integration of AI can enrich students' learning experiences without disregarding traditional values in Islamic education, provided it is approached carefully and responsibly.
