Abstract

This article examines the spiritual messages found in Surah Al-Baqarah from the perspective of Islamic studies. Surah Al-Baqarah, the longest chapter in the Qur'an, offers profound insights into the relationship between humanity and the divine, emphasizing guidance for righteous living and the importance of faith, prayer, and obedience to Allah. Through a detailed analysis, this study explores the various spiritual themes within the Surah, such as the concept of Tawhid (Oneness of God), the role of the believer in the social and ethical order, and the significance of surrendering to divine will. It further investigates how these teachings aim to foster a balanced relationship with God, nature, and fellow human beings. By employing an Islamic scholarly approach, the article delves into the linguistic, thematic, and contextual aspects of the Surah, highlighting its relevance to contemporary spiritual and ethical issues. The study concludes that Surah Al-Baqarah provides a timeless and comprehensive guide for individuals seeking spiritual enlightenment, promoting a deeper understanding of Islam’s teachings and how they can be applied in daily life.
